“Australia’s professional services industry is one of the worlds most sophisticated, but among this group is an elite core that excels. Whether in responsiveness price or commercial value of advice, the award winners stand head and shoulders above the crowd.

Two Datacom Awards
In the 2009 Awards, announced in March at the annual ceremony, Datacom secured both the Best IT Services Firm award and the Overall Best Professional Services Firm (revenue A$50M to A$200M). Datacom is obviously delighted to have been recognised for the high quality of our services in the Australian market, as we continue to develop and build our reputation as the Regional Partner of Choice for many Australian companies who seek external IT advice and services for their business.

Best Accounting Firm (revenue > A$500M), Ernst Young
Best Consulting Firm (revenue > $20M), Boston Consulting Group
Market leadership (Attribute Award), Price Waterhouse Coopers
Best Engineering firm (revenue > A$200M), Parsons Brinckerhoff
Individual State awards include a joint win for Phillips Fox and Minter Ellison in ACT and Gilbert & Tobin in NSW.
How the Annual Survey is Conducted
Buyers of professional services have the opportunity to rate the performance of the firms that serve them, over the preceding 12 months. This year more than 30,000 separate ratings of firms by their clients were received, making the BRW survey the largest of its kind in the world. In 2009, 300 firms were eligible for the awards, and award categories based on the number of applicants with at least 10 eligible firms in each category.
