Datacom has consolidated the previous two Board structures, namely the Datacom Group Board in New Zealand and a separate Datacom Australia Board, into one single Group Board entity.
This move reflects the continued strong growth experienced across all aspects of the business and in particular recognises the growth of the Australian and Asian operations. These aspects of our business now comprise over 1,600 employees generating in excess of NZ$310 million in revenue, of the Group totals of 3,100 employees and NZ$580 million in revenue.
Datacom has now expanded to operate in 12 separate major locations in four countries (New Zealand, Australia, Malaysia and the Philippines).
Mindful of this expansion, the consolidated structure continues to ensure that all Directors have the best opportunity to maintain an appropriate level of oversight of all areas of the business. It is planned for the Group Board to meet four times a year in New Zealand and four times in Australia and Asia.
