The Datacom Cloud Services business unit is rapidly growing and increased demand means more opportunity for our people.   

The role:

As a Cloud Platform Engineer you’ll play a senior role in the Cloud Services team, (alongside our other Engineers, Architects and Consultants), and take responsibilityfor the ongoing technical operation of the various shared cloud platforms we manage on behalf of our customers.   You’ll have the opportunity to work across a range of technologies and specialist areas, such as Automation/Orchestration, Hypervisor, Server, Backups, Storage, Network & Application layers.    We don’t want to put you in a box and only allow you to work in one small area; we believe in cross-training and encourage our people to stretch and develop.  


 On a day to day basis you will be:

  • Working with our customers, ensuring the services we deliver meet (and exceed) expectation
  • Providing the customer with the expert advice they expect from us
  • Ongoing management and delivery of the various Cloud Platforms to agreed SLA’s
  • Looking for ways to improve
  • Working collaboratively with your colleagues and team, while taking ownership of your delegated responsibilities
  • Reporting and documentation


Our requirements:

We’re looking for professional hands-on engineers with a wide knowledge of Cloud technologies and virtualised environments.  You may have a specialist area, or a particular interest in any of the Cloud System stack, such as Automation/Orchestration, Hypervisor, Server, Backups, Storage, Network & Application layers.    Experience in Automation / Orchestration, UCS, VMWare, Enterprise Storage Netbackup, Veeam etc are all attractive to us.

You will participate in a 24x7 on-call roster so you’ll need to have the flexibility to do this, and given the nature of our customers we will require you to be able to get government security clearance.
